What is cardanol oil?

Refined cashew oil is made from crude oil after going through the distillation and extraction process to obtain refined oil. Almost all impurities are removed. Cashew shell oil contains a mixture of natural Alkyl and Phenol with the main chemical components being: Cardanol, Cardol, 2-Methyl and their Polymers.

From the available physical and chemical properties, cashew nut shell oil is a valuable raw material and auxiliary ingredient in many industrial production sectors:
